Funerals and Bereavement
Bereavement Ministry at Our Lady usually begins when a call comes in from the Funeral Home but sometimes from a family member.
The staff at Our Lady works with individuals through all of life’s ups and downs. While the death of an individual brings sadness, it is also seen as the regular process of life. Upon contact with us that a death has occurred, we work with the family to support them in their grief and plan for the funeral. The Funeral Planning booklet is offered so the family can begin thinking of what Scripture readings and music is desired. Please call and/or visit our office for more information.
Our services include:
- Meeting with the family and planning a funeral
- Providing a Wake Service (prayer service) at the funeral home the day before the funeral Mass
- Funeral (Mass or Service) with a Funeral Choir assisting family and friends to find voice
- Committal at the graveside
- Luncheon if desired (and if the Parish Hall is available
