Designed to assist families who are home-schooling their children in faith formation. Entire families gather four times during the school year on Sundays, after the 10:30 Mass. We share a meal, pray, and participate in a variety of activities and faith experiences. Students texts are checked for completion so that diocesan standards may be met for reception of the sacraments. This program is open for ANY members of the parish (individuals or families) who wish to have an enriching faith experience in a group setting. Any family who chooses the "Home School" faith formation option are required to attend these seasonal sessions which convene 4 times a year. We begin with lunch (pizza & beverage provided). Each family attending is asked to bring a dessert to share. We will conclude around 1:30 pm. Children in this program will receive their textbooks at the first session. Textbooks are completed at home in the family environment. 2008/2009 sessions ended on March 29th. The LAST DATE to turn in books is April 29th. All books must be completed and turned in to the Religious Ed. Office for inspection before the student can be "promoted" to the next grade. Please be aware of the diocesan requirement , that students complete two years of Religious education before being allowed to be presented as a candidate for First Reconciliation, First Communion or Confirmation. -------------------------------------------------------
